InNaBioSanté Foundation, presided by Philippe DOUSTE-BLAZY, former French Minister of Health, and of Foreign Affairs, and actual adviser of French President, decided to grant 5 projects on cancer research.
The InNaBioSanté Foundation’s Scientific Committee selected those projects within the 95 proposals received for this 1st Call for Projects dated may 2007.
The projects granted are :
1. MODIC : MOlecular Diagnostic and Imaging Cancer by Gilles Karcher (Nancy - France)
2. NANO-ONCOLOGY : Coated Iron nanoparticles for Magnetic Resonance Imaging and hyperthermia treatment by Sébastien Lachaize (Toulouse - France)
3. ULTRAFITT : Focused Ultrasound guided by MRI for the treatment of cancer : ablation and deposition of nanoparticles by Chrit Moonen (Bordeaux - France)
4. INNOBIOCAPTURE : An innovative strategy for micro/nano invasive biocapture : from biomarker to physiopathological and target discovery in oncology by François Berger (Grenoble - France)
5. ONCOMATE :Olfactive Nano-detection of Cancers Obtained from MAchine-learning Technology, by Juliette Fitremann (Toulouse - France)
Conceived in 2005, the InNaBioSanté Research Foundation has been founded and state-approved (decree 05 May 2006) within the framework of a national plan to finance research and innovation.
The Foundation’s vocation is to define, promote and finance cooperative actions aimed at developing research and industry within the health sector, focusing especially on the fight against cancer, by supporting actions from the highly innovative areas of:
INfotechnology NAnotechnology BIOtechnology and SANTE (meaning HEALTH) : radiotherapy techniques
InNaBioSanté Foundation has been created around the Toulouse Cancer Campus.
This Medical, Scientific, Technological, Pharmaceutical and Biotech Campus will be dedicated to Cancer.
