BACKDROP TO THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Situated on the « Oncopôle Toulouse » cancerology campus, the ITAV is an interdisciplinary project unit covering 2,700 m2, situated in the Centre Pierre Potier. It is organised into mixed unit services, UMS 3039 (C.N.R.S / Paul Sabatier University / I.N.S.A Toulouse), around 3 advanced technology platforms :
Nanobiotechnologies,
Combinatorial synthesis chemistry,
Photonic imaging.

The Institute has the distinctive characteristic of sharing the building with a business incubator dedicated to Biotechnologies. The selected projects will come within the scope of one or both of the two following interface topics :
NANOTECHNOLOGIES/BIOLOGY
CHEMISTRY/BIOLOGY
Teams will be hosted at ITAV on the basis of scientific projects that are necessarily INNOVATIVE and INTERDISCIPLINARY, for which the ITAV infrastructure provides real added value.
SCOPE OF THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Project team programmes may be :
1. Long-term programmes :
Of French or foreign origin, visting teams will propose a project for a maximum duration of 3 years.
2. Exploratory, short-term programmes
Researchers may propose a so-called « exploratory » project for a maximum duration of 2 years.
In both cases, the research programmes will focus on at least one of the two following areas :
Nanotechnologies and Biology
Chemistry and Biology
