InNaBioSanté: mission


Welcome to the InNaBioSanté Research Foundation

Conceived in 2005, the InNaBioSanté Research Foundation has been founded and state-approved (decree 05 May 2006) within the framework of a national plan to finance research and innovation.

The Foundation’s vocation is to define, promote and finance cooperative actions aimed at developing research and industry within the health sector, focusing especially on the fight against cancer, by supporting actions from the highly innovative areas of:
- INfotechnology
- NAnotechnology
- BIOtechnology and
- SANTE (meaning HEALTH) : radiotherapy techniques


Mission

The mission of the InNaBioSanté Foundation is to develop cancer research, taking different, concerted actions by:
- Organising a call for projects at the national and international level in order to support or co-finance Research and Development programmes
- Promoting Public/Private research partnerships by financing multidisciplinary research programmes linking the infotechnologies, nanotechnologies, biotechnologies and radiotherapy techniques
- Supporting actions aimed at reinforcing the bridges between research structures and industry, and favouring the creation of innovative companies
- Financing technological hubs, or infrastructures directly relating to the Foundation’s objectives
- Supporting young research scientists throughout their studies in order to allow them to hone their skills as much abroad (Europe, North America, Asia) as in France
- Funding a « visiting chair » in order to attract international class researchers to the Toulouse site
- Organising study meetings, national or international symposiums To accomplish these different missions, the Foundation has been endowed with 21,5 million €uros by its founders:
- 13,5 million €uros from the following companies:


- TOTAL SA : 10 million €uros
- PIERRE FABRE SA : 1 million €uros
- AMGEN SA : 1 million €uros
- GLAXOSMITHKLINE SAS : 1 million €uros
- SIEMENS SA : 0,5 million €uros

- 8 million €uros from the French Ministry for Research and the ANR (National Research Agency)
